Farrar of Andover Seminary. Acknowledges receipt of several shipments of books. States that Andover has given E. R. $1000 to "purchase valuable books," but if he spends less than that amount he can use the difference to defray his own expenses or if he exceeds it, he will be reimbursed. Provides E.R. with a statement from the publisher for his Lexicon, detailing the status of the 627 copies. Mentions the "long and tedious trial of Dr. Murdock" has come to a close and indicates a third edition of Stuart's Hebrew Grammar has just been published.
