We left here on the morning of Wednesday the 29th ult. by stage to Batavia & thence to Rochester by rail road, where we arrived at evening. . . . We left Friday morning the I st instant for Geneva & arrived there at 11 o'clock. We returned to Rochester . . . Tuesday afternoon & Wednesday afternoon came by the canal to Brockport. . .Do you think to attend commencement at Clinton? It occurs on the 27th . I found on my return the N. Y. Observer which you sent & was much gratified by the high commendation which you received.
