Q 1832, Dec. 10 Folded inside the letter cited above (24 Nov. 1832) was E. R.'s draft of his reply to Augustus Foot. E. R. was pleased with the terms of the sale, his only regret being that the sale did not take place 7 years earlier. He mentions he would like to visit Twinsburg in the spring of 1833. He notes that 2 or 3 months earlier he sent Harvey Baldwin the deeds to the properties. He asks to be informed if the deeds have been recorded and requests information about the character of the new owner, Ian Humphrey.

Q 1833, Jan. 12 Letter to E. R. in Andover from Augustus E. Foot in Hudson, Ohio. Enclosed is a draft drawn on New York for $100 for E. R., because his brother George never applied for the money. Notes that Gen. [Harvey] Baldwin, a resident of Hudson and treasurer of the Western Reserve College, will in the future be able to write checks drawn on a bank in Boston because the college has funds in that city. Foot describes the character of Humphrey, per E. R.'s request, but part of his description is ripped off the page and lies under the wax seal. One can read, however, that Humphrey "is one of the first lawyers on the Reserve and was a candidate for a seat in Congress at the last election and came near being successful."

Q 1832, Nov. 24 Letter to E. R. in Andover from Augustus E. Foot in Hudson, Ohio. Foot, a Land Agent hired by George Robinson, negotiated the sale of the Ohio property to Ian R. Humphrey of Hudson. Terms of the sale are outlined in this letter. The amount that the Robinsons are to receive is $1588, which Foot says he will issue in Eastern Bills or a draft drawn on a N.Y. Bank.
