B-1 1811, Dec. 19 Letter to E. R. in Southington, Ct. from his sister (Naomi) Sophia Robinson Woodruff, Catskill, NY. Describes her emotions as she left Southington with her husband, James. Took a stage to New York City and then a steamer to Catskill. Repeatedly expresses her longing for her family and friends while at the same time she reassures her brother that she is very content with her new situation. Sends her love to Sophie, Nancy and Henry, and asks for her father to write. A postscript is added by her husband James Woodruff.
