Notation on the envelope side of the paper indicates that this is letter "No. 2." His brother complains that he has not received a letter from him during the term. Poses some questions about projects on the farm and then mentions that he heard an oration delivered by a woman who, dressed in man's clothes, served for three years in the army during the American Revolution.
