A-2 1818, Sept. 14 "Articles of agreement" between E. R. and Samuel Farr of Clinton. executed with respect to the running of the farm. Farr agrees to do the work specified. E. R. is to provide "a comfortable dwelling house, and also a piece of land sufficient for a kitchen garden, fire wood for the use of Farr's family, and to furnish pasterage for one cow in the summer and hay for the same in the winter, allow Farr to retain one-tenth part of all produce of the farm, and in addition is to pay Farr the sum of $180. The agreement is good for one year, and requires notice of two months from either party if the agreement is to be terminated. The word "fulfilled" is written at the bottom of page two.
