A-3 1819, April 20 Lease. Between E. R. and James Height in consideration of $50 rent for land, house and barn. E. R. will pay all taxes and furnish manure for the garden, will permit the picking of apples on the first row of trees, and if Height works for him, will apply that labor against the rent owed. Signed in the presence of Charles Robinson.
A-3 1819, April 17 Lease negotiated in the presence of Samuel Farr between Gershom Wood and "the heirs of Samuel Kirkland for all the cleared land on the tract lying in Westmoreland between the parsonage lot (so called) and the land deeded by Samuel Kirkland to Roderick Morrison" for $15 payable either in stock or money. He further agrees to leave all fences in good repair. E. R. notes that $15 was received in full payment of the rent on 28 May 1819.
A-3 n.d. [1819?] A half sheet of paper with "O. Williams Statement by Ch. Robinson" on one side and a brief notice which Othniel Williams wrote to Charles Robinson on the other. He writes: "In the suit against John Kirkland I recovered the amount of the rent due from the time that E. Robinson 's title commenced, it being $12. and costs of suit-Kirkland claimed the land under a deed from Ralph W. Kirkland and not under the will of R. He of course refuses to pay any part of the legacy due to Mr. Robinson. . . "
