1738, Nov. 10. Document. This is a certified copy of the decision of the Ecclesiastical Council which met at Duxbury, MA for the purpose of dismissing the Rev. John Robinson (1671-1745, great grandfather of E. R.) from his position as pastor of the Duxbury Church. E. R. came into possession of this document in 1856 and he reprints a complete transcription of it in his Memoir of the Rev. William Robinson, pp. 39-40.
Robinson, William; Robinson, Edward O 1797, Oct. 6 Documents pertaining to Sarah Brown. Includes the probate of her will. Sarah Hyde Brown (1697-1797), known as "Widow Sarah Brown the elder," was the mother of Lydia, the second wife of Ichabod Robinson. [See Memoir, p. 51, footnote. E. R. wrapped these items in a piece of paper from Halle, but it is not his handwriting that gives the contents therein, but rather that of Edward Robinson of New Jersey.]
