At one time in these different PEACE MISSION" Extensions in New York City and around New York City, we fed Twenty- five hundred to "Three thousand people daily ABSO- LUTELY GRATIS. I do not mean at Ten and Fifteen Cents a meal. I AM not counting them, but the meals are not more than Ten and Fifteen Cents anywhere. Qualify Yourselves Is not this standing for RIGHTEOUSNESS, TRUTH and JUSTICE? Is not this standing for HUMAN LIB- ERTY? In a short while, we had a Message from the school representative that there were around Five tho-u- sand of My Followers in the night schools. Why was it? It was because I requested them to go . . . . Qualify yourselves intellectually, socially, scientifically and eco- snomically. Qualify yourselves morally and Spiritually and every way expressible, that you might be able to measure the full measure of RIGHTEOUSNESS and meet every issue of life and be qualified to fill the dif- "__ferent official duties and offices when they are opened. Then I say, for this year I request the honor of every- one of My Followers to continue- in school . . . . . . I request the honor of everyone of you; all of you who are at least 21 years of age, if you are living in New York City or any other city,—to be ready for register- ing and voting and register regardless to whom you may be directed when the time of election comes. . Now‘ we shall be ready for this RIGHTEOUS GOV- ERNMENT to be established, and all of you My Fol- lowers, although you may be great in number apparently here, at this Meeting this Evening, but as you are here, so they are in thousands and thousands of places all "over the Universe. You will all be ready for registering and voting. This Message which I AM giving this Evening will go forth into- all of the different places of the Movement; all will be ready to do as I bid them do, even as these do, as a Sample and as an Example. A Peace Mission M-oH'o .I would just like to have a little motto, composed around about 1932, read. I will ask -the Secretaryto read it for you. At this time Miss Peace Branch, one of the , Secretaries came forth to the Microphone and read the motto, which is as follows: FATHER DIVINE’S PEACE MISSION WORKERS ‘N0. 20 VVEST 115th Street (Near Fifth Avenue) . My dear Mr .Britz: I have received yours of the 11th and admire your open expression of MY Work and Mission as it is seen and manifested among the Children of Men. Rebuilding and reconstructing and reincarnating the Spirits of Just Men within the hearts and minds and lives of men, I AM destroying the Seeds of Unrighteous- ness, working cancellation of all of the negative and_ adverse tendencies, inclinations and corruptive qual- i\ties that have dominated the lives of them. I With the Spirits of Just Men moving within the hearts and within the minds of every man, the Spirit of Righteousness, the Spirit of Justice and the Spirit of Truth will excel in all of their experiences of life. Hence, Righteousness is the Scale of Regulation, by which humanity in all of their business transactions, in all of their Social Activities, and in all of their Political and Economic Actions will find the Principle Key to bring about the desired results sought for. By the Scale of Righteousness, laws and by-laws and other forms of law-enforcement acts will "be removed that are Uncon- stitutional and Undemo-cratic. It is indeed a pleasure to watch the Spirit of Just Men being made Perfect in the lives of men, and to see how sin, vice and crime and the spirit of immorality is dissolving into its nothingness. OAKLAND AND SAN FRANCISCO, twin cities of the Golden Gate, will ‘be the scenes of the Second annual “California Righteous Government Convention, Septem» ber 24th, 25h’ and 26th. An amazing amount of nation-wide and even interna- tional publicity resulted from the opposition on the part of local reactionary religious and political leaders in Los_ Angeles last year in connection with the first California convention. The chief objective was the protest made over leasing the use of the great (almost sacred) Hol- lywood Bowl for the main session, and of course to the fact that people called FATHER DIVINE GOD. The meetings of the 1937 A. D. F. D. convention are to be as follows: . . I General Business Session, 1:00 P. M., Friday, Sep-' tember 24, at 1485 Eighth Street, Oakland. Educational Program, 7:00 P. M., of’the same day at the same address. , On Saturday at 1 :00 P. M., the Divine Youth Program will be held in the (Oakland) Municipal Auditorium at Twelfth and Fallon Streets, Oakland. At 2:30 P. M., re- = ports of the Righteous Government Workers will begin. At the same auditorium at 7 o'clock in the evening the Political Program will be held. On Sunday the 26th, a Divine Parade will start at 2 P. M. in San Francisco. (Place of assembly} and route of march will be announced by handbills or can be obtained by phoning Sutter 4551.) At 7 P.
