H-3 1837, Nov. 17 Letter to E. R. in Berlin from Joshua B. Bacon in London. Bacon finally received E. R.'s letter of Oct. 16th in which was enclosed a draft favor for $245.6.0. Mentions that a bill falls due on the 1st, and with the discount and the postages subtracted from the amount stated above, E. R. is then due $243.5.9. Bacon had intended to send that exact amount but learned that only even amounts could be negotiated, hence $240 is being sent.

H-3 1837, Nov. 2 Letter to E. R., Wilkelmastrasse [?] No 70 B, Berlin, from Joshua B. Bacon, London. Tells E. R. that he received his letter of Oct. 21, but a letter supposedly written by E. R. on Oct. 16 never reached him. It is not clear what is under consideration here, but see entry for 17 Nov. 1837.
